Powerful light phenomena

A deep black night in Lapland, starry skies and clittering cold: ideal conditions for a natural phenomena of a special kind. The expectations are great, but there is no guarantee of a sight of the heavenly scene. It is only by coincidence that there will be light show of nature tonight. Polaris shine mostly in crystalline blue, violet, red or lime green colors, but they can cover a much larger spectrum. The light intensity can be compared with that of the moon. They move silently for hours on end, but can disappear at any time and flare up again a few hours later. The resulting patterns change constantly – whether long drawn strips, blurred clouds, flickering flames or rotating spirals.
